Who we are
DocNudge ("we," "us") provides document request and file collection software for accounting firms. This policy describes how we handle information when you use our website and product.
Information we collect
- Account & workspace data: When firm users sign in, our authentication provider (Clerk) processes email and profile details needed to operate your workspace.
- Client & request data: Information you enter about clients, document requests, reminders, and tasks — stored in our application database.
- Files: Documents uploaded through secure links are stored in private cloud storage (Supabase Storage) and associated metadata in our database.
- Billing: Payment processing is handled by Stripe. We do not store full payment card numbers on our servers.
- Email: Transactional and reminder emails may be sent through our email provider (e.g. Resend) using addresses and content you configure.
- Technical data: Standard logs and diagnostics may include IP address, browser type, and timestamps as needed for security and reliability.
How we use information
We use data to provide and improve the service, authenticate users, deliver uploads and reminders, process subscriptions, communicate about the product, and meet legal obligations. We do not sell your personal information or your clients' files.
Subprocessors
We rely on vetted infrastructure providers, including hosting, database and storage (e.g. Supabase), authentication (Clerk), payments (Stripe), and email delivery. Their use is limited to operating DocNudge on our behalf.
Security
We use encryption in transit (TLS) and industry-standard practices for access control and data isolation between workspaces. No system is perfectly secure; we work to reduce risk and respond to issues promptly.
Retention
We retain information as long as needed to provide the service and for legitimate business and legal purposes. You may request deletion of workspace data subject to applicable law and our obligations to retain certain records.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information, or to object to certain processing. Contact us using the details on our Contact page to make a request.
